With A, chain 5; join with slip st in first chain to form a ring.

Round 1: Chain 3 (counts as dc), 15 dc in ring; join with slip st in top of chain-3 – 16 sts.

Round 2: Chain 1, single crochet in same chain as joining, * chain 4, skip next dc **, single crochet in next dc; repeat from * around, end at **; join with slip st in first single crochet – 8 single crochet and 8 chain-4 spaces.

Weave in all loose ends, except long end. Sew squares together through both loops of last round into 5 strips of 7 squares each. Sew strips together.

Edging
