Row 1: With cream, chain 11, single crochet in the second chain from the hook, single crochet in each of the next 8 chains, 3 single crochets in the chain at the end; working in the remaining loops on the opposite side of the chain, single crochet in each of the next 7 chains; leaving the remaining chains unworked, turn. Crochet Halo

Crocheted Wreath Instructions

With green, chain 12, slip stitch in the first chain to form a ring; chain 1, single crochet in the first chain, chain 2, (single crochet in the next chain, chain 2) around, join with a slip stitch in the first single crochet. Fasten off.

Bow for Wreath

With red, (chain 2, half double crochet in the second chain from the hook) 2 times, slip stitch in the first chain of the first chain-2, (chain 2, half double crochet in the second chain from the hook) 2 times, slip stitch in the same chain as the last slip stitch.

Fasten off.

Song Book

Row 1: With red, chain 11, single crochet in the second chain from the hook, single crochet in each remaining chain across, turn.

Rows 2-7: Chain 1, single crochet in each stitch across, turn. At the end of the last row, fasten off.

Finishing
1: For the hair, cut 60 strands of light brown thread, each 6″ long. Wrap a separate strand of thread around the center of all strands and tie securely. Fold the top portion of strands down over the tie. Arrange and shape the upper portion of strands to cover the lower portion. When you have the desired shape, glue it to the head of the Angel. When the glue dries, trim the ends of all strands (see photos.)

2: Slide Arms through the arm openings on Rnd 12. Glue them in place and allow them to dry.

3: Place the Halo and Wings on a blocking surface. Spray them with starch, shape them, and allow them to dry. If using the Song Book, place it on a blocking surface, spray it with starch, fold it in half, and allow it to dry flat. If using the Wreath, place the Wreath and Bow on a blocking surface, spray them with starch, shape them, and allow them to dry.

4: Glue the Wings to the back of the Angel. Glue the Halo to the back of the head.

5: If using the Wreath, glue the Bow and red seed beads to the Wreath. Allow them to dry.

6: Glue either the Song Book or the Wreath to each Angel’s hands (open the Book as shown in the photo.) Allow them to dry.

7: For a hanger (optional), cut an 8″ length of thread to match the trim color of the dress. Fold the strand in half and glue the cut ends to the bottom of the Halo. Allow it to dry.
