• Sea Foam.
• Knitting Needles: 4mm [US 6], 5mm [US 8].
• Circular Knitting Needle: 5mm [US 8] – 16”.
• Cable needle, stitch markers, stitch holders, yarn needle

 

GAUGE: 17 stitches = 4”; 23 rows = 4” in St stitch. CHECK YOUR

GAUGE. Use any size needle to obtain the gauge.

 To Fit Chest: 34 (38, 42, 46, 50)”.

Finished Chest Measurement: 36 (40, 44, 49, 52)”.

CABLE PANEL:

Row 1 (Right Side): Purl 2, slip next 6 stitches onto cable needle and leave at front

of work; Knit 6, then Knit 6 from cable needle, Purl 2.

Row 2: Knit 2, Purl 12, Knit 2.

Row 3: Purl 2, Knit 12, Purl 2.

Rows 4-19: Repeat Rows 2 and 3.

Row 20: Repeat Row 2.

Repeat Rows 1-20 for Cable Panel.

 

Knit Cabled Hoodie Knitting Patterns Back Instructions

BACK: With smaller needles, cast on 77 (85, 93, 103, 111)

stitches. Work in ribbing as follows:

Row 1 (Wrong Side): Purl 1, * Knit 1, Purl 1; repeat from * across.

Row 2: Knit 1, * Purl 1, Knit 1; repeat from * across.

Repeat Rows 1 and 2 for ribbing for 4”, increase 1 stitch at center of

last row, end Row 1 – 78 (86, 94, 104, 112) stitches. Change to

larger needles and St stitch, beginning Knit row, until 11” from beginning, end

Purl row.

 

Shape Raglans: Bind off 1 (2, 3, 4, 5) stitches at beginning of next 2

rows.

Decrease Row 1: Knit 1, slip  slip knit, work to last 3 stitches; Knit 2 together, Knit 1.

Next Row: Work in pattern. Repeat last 2 rows 21 (20, 21, 20, 21)

times more – 32 (40, 44, 54, 58) stitches.

 

FOR LAST 4 SIZES ONLY – Decrease Row 2: Knit 1, slip slip slip knit, work

to last 4 stitches; Knit 3 together, Knit 1.

Next Row: Work in pattern. Repeat last 2

rows (1, 2, 4, 5) times more – (32, 32, 34, 34) stitches.

 ALL SIZES: Place remain stitches on a holder.

 

Knit Cabled Hoodie Knitting Patterns Front Instructions 

FRONT: Work ribbing same as for EXCEPT increase 5 stitches evenly spaced on last row, end Row 1 – 82 (90, 98, 108,116) stitches. Change to larger needles and place Cable Panel as follows:

Row 1: Knit 33 (37, 41, 46, 50), place marker, Purl 2, Knit 12, Purl 2, place marker, Knit to end.

Row 2: Purl to marker, Knit 2, Purl 12, Knit 2, Purl to end.

Row 3: Knit to marker, Purl 2, Knit 12, Purl 2, Knit to end.

Repeat last 2 rows 8 (8, 8, 3, 3) times more, then repeat Row 2 again. Keeping stitches outside of markers in St stitch, work Cable Panel, beginning with Row 1, inside markers until 11” from beginning,end wrong side row.

Shape Raglans: Work same as for Back AND AT THE SAME TIME, when 16 1/2 (17, 17 1/2, 18, 18 1/2)” from beginning, end wrong side row, and place markers either side of center 18 (18, 18, 20, 20) stitches.

 Divide for Neck: Keeping continuity of raglan shaping, work to marker, place first 9 (9, 9, 10, 10) stitches onto holder then place next 9 (9, 9, 10, 10) stitches onto holder, join a new skein of yarn and work to end. Working sides separately and at the same time, bind off at each neck edge 3 stitches once, 2 stitches once, and 1 stitch once. Work even until 3 stitches rem and piece is same length as Back, end wrong side row. On next right side row, Knit 3 together and fasten off.

SLEEVES: With smaller needles, cast on 39 (41, 43, 45,47) stitches. Work ribbing same as for Back EXCEPT do not increase stitch on last row. Change to larger needles and St stitch, beginning Knit row, until 6 (5, 5, 7 1/2, 5)” from beginning, end Purl row. Shape sides by increase 1 stitch each end of next row, then every 10 (10,8, 6, 6)th row until there are 53 (57, 63, 67, 73) stitches. Work even until 19” from beginning, end Purl row.

Shape Raglans: Bind off 1 (2, 3, 4, 5) stitches at beginning of next 2 rows.

HOOD: Sew raglan seams. With right side facing and circular needle, Knit 9 (9, 9, 10, 10) stitches from 2nd front neck holder, pick up and Knit 16 stitches evenly along side of neck, Knit 7 stitches from sleeve holder, Knit 32 (32, 32, 34, 34) stitches from back holder decrease 6 stitches evenly spaced, Knit 7 stitches from sleeve holder, pick up and Knit 16 stitches evenly along side of front neck, Knit 9 (9, 9, 10, 10) stitches from front holder – 90 (90, 90,94, 94) stitches.

Row 1 (Wrong Side): Sl first stitch as if to purl, Purl to end.

Row 2: Sl first stitch as if to knit, Knit to end. Repeat last 2 rows until 2” from beg, end P row.

Next Row: Knit 44 (44, 44,46, 46) stitches, Make 1 stitch, place marker, Knit 2, place marker, Make 1 stitch, Knit to end. Work 7 rows even.

Next Row: Knit to marker, Make 1 stitch, sl marker, Knit to next marker, sl marker, Make 1 stitch, Knit to end. Repeat last 8 rows 3 more times – 100 (100, 100, 104, 104) stitches. Work even until 12” from beginning, end Purl row.

Next Row: Knit to 2 stitches before marker,slip slip knit, Knit 2, Knit 2 together, Knit to end. Work 3 rows even. Repeat last 4 rows 4 times more. After last decrease row, Purl 45 (45, 45, 47, 47)stitches; holding stitches parallel and with right sides tog, Knit together first stitch from each needle, * Knit together next stitch from each needle and bind off; repeat from * across.

FINISHING: Sew side and sleeve seams.
