- 2 skein Nile 100% Silk Ribbon 100gm 125 yds
- Stitch markers
Gauge 16 sts and 24 rows equal 4″ using 2 ply silk chenille
Sizing 36 (38,40,42) inch hip
Petal Skirt Free Knitting Pattern Instructions
Waistband
Using 2 ply and size 5 needle, Cast on 140 (154,168,182) sts. *K1, *P1 in the round for 1.5 inches. Â Â Â Â Â Â Â Â Â Â Â Â Â Â Â Â Â Â Â Â Â Â Â Knit 5 (7,4,6) sts in pattern, *K2 tog, YO, K1, P1, K1m P2tog, YO, P1,K1, P1 *Repeat from* to * until 5,(7,4,6) sts remain. Knit the last 5 (7,4,6) sts in pattern. Continue knitting in the rnd in K1, P1 pattern until rib measures 3 inches.
Skirt
Switch to size 6 circular needles and knit in st st until piece measures 11 inches.
Make Petal Trim
Row 1 *With 1 ply Nile K1, with Chenille K13* repeat * to * to end.
Row 2 *With Nile K1, YO, with Chenille K2tog, K9, K2tog, YO, K1 YO, K2tog, with ribbon YO* repeat to end.
Row 3 and every odd row: K rnd in pattern.
Row 4 With Chenille K2tog, *switch to Nile YO, K3, YO, switch to Chenille K2tog, K7, K2tog* switch to Nile YO.
Row 6 With Chenille K2tog, * with Nile YO, K5, YO, with Chenille K2tog, K5, K2tog* with Nile YO.
Row 8 With Chenille K2tog* with Nile YO, K7, YO, with Chenille K2tog, K3, K2tog* with Nile YO.
Row 10 With Chenille K2tog * with Nile YO, K9, YO, with Chenille K2tog* with Nile YO.
Row 12 With Chenille K2tog* with Nile YO, K11, YO, with Chenille K2tog* with Nile YO.
Row 14 With Chenille K2tog * with Nile YO, K13, YO, with Chenille, K3tog* with Nile YO.
Row 15 Knit 1 round in Nile.
Row 16 *K1, inc1* repeat * to * to end.
Switch to size 10 circular needles. Knit 5 rounds. Next rnd *K2tog, YO* repeat from * to * to end. Next row Bind off.
Finishing Petal Skirt Free Knitting Pattern sew elastic into the waist band. Weave a ribbon though the holes created by the YO in the waistband. Tie in loose ends.
