2. Contrasting color: Crystal Palace Tingle, 2 balls #9012 ‘Fiesta Tweed’ (use doubled) [or use 1 balls of Fling #9494 ‘Roses’ doubled or 1 ball of Squiggle #9295 ‘Redwood’ doubled]
3. CPY Bamboo 26″ Circular Needle size 11

Gauge: 12 stitches = 4 inches in Stockinette st with Merino Frappe on size 11, or adjust needle size to get this gauge.

1. Cast On 66 (81) stitches Main Color
2. 1-3 Main Color:Knit
3. 4 Contrasting Color:Purl using double stand ( right side row)
4. 5 Contrasting Color: Knit
5. 6 Main Color: Knit
6. 7 Main Color: Purl

First Increase row:Knit 1 (2), increase in next stitch, *Knit 2 (3), increase in next stitch* to last 1 (2) stitches, Knit to end. 88 (106) stitches. Continue in Stockinette st (Knit on right side, Purl on wrong side) until Main Color measures 3.5” in from Contrasting Color row. End by working a Purl row. Work 2 rows Contrasting Color as before, then 2 rows Main Color in st. st.

Second Increase Row: Knit 1 (2), increase in next stitch, *Knit 3 (3), increase in next stitch* to last 2 (2) stitches, Knit to end. [110, 126 stitches]. Continue in Stockinette. Stockinette until Main Color measures 3.5″ from Contrasting Color row. End by working a Purl row. Work 2 rows Contrasting Color. Then 2 rows Main Color.

Third Increase Row: Knit 2 (3), increase in next stitch, *Knit 4 (6), increase in next stitch* to last 2 (3) stitches, Knit to end. [132, 144 stitches]. Bind off Loosely with Contrasting Color.

With Right Side facing, pick up and Knit 36 stitches along front edge. Knit 1 row. Continue in garter stitch, decreasing 1 stitch each end of every row until 10 stitches remain. Continue in garter stitch on these stitches until tie measures 12″. BO. Repeat on other side of shrug.
