Pork with egg lemon leeks

As the weather gets cold, we change preferences in food, and pork with egg lemon leeks is a great choice of delicious food, ideal for cold winter days. Pork with leeks and egg-lemon celery, homemade food that is comfortable as if it was “Sunday” as it is quite demanding to be cooked and is a presentable and delicious dish!

Portions of this delicious cooking recipe are 6 plates.

Recipe Ingredients

  • 1 kg boneless pork cut into portions
  • 1 kg of leeks, maybe a little more
  • Half a cup. Cf. olive oil
  • 1 small bunch of celery, finely chopped
  • 3-4 small carrots
  • 2 cloves garlic finely chopped
  • 2 tbsp tomato sauce
  • 1 tsp red pepper
  • freshly ground black pepper
  • salt
  • 2 eggs at room temperature
  • 2 lemons

Pork with egg lemon leeks Execution

In a large pot add the oil to heat up.

Wash the meat and after sprinkling it with freshly ground pepper and half of the red pepper, sauté it in the oil until it is golden brown on all sides.

Then add the tomato sauce and cool them together.

Then add the chopped celery, the chopped garlic, and hot water until it covers the meat.

Let your food simmer, with the lid closed, until the meat is tender enough well (not dissolved, but not hard). However, be careful not to stick and if necessary add more water.

At the same time, we clean the leeks by removing the hard, outer leaves and keeping only the white part, with a little of the greenery, as well as the carrots.

Cut the leeks into 5 cm sticks. approximately. Also, cut your carrots into rounds.

After the meat has softened, add the leeks and carrots.

Season with salt and pepper and add the other half a teaspoon of the red pepper.

Stir a little so that they giggled with the existing juice.

Then add a little more hot water (so that it almost covers the leeks) and let the food simmer with a closed lid until the leeks are well softened, and the sauce thickens without completely drinking the juice.

At this point, remove the pot from the heat and prepare the egg-lemon sauce!

Beat the egg-lemon sauce and pour it into the pot, shaking it so that it “goes” everywhere (without stirring).

Pork with leek celery is ready.

Tips for a tastier result

Grate some freshly ground pepper when serving!

If you don’t want the traditional way for egg-lemon sauce, there is an easier way: After squeezing the lemons, we put their juice and eggs in the blender and beat well, making an egg-lemon sauce that has nothing to envy from what we make by hand!
